How the Republican Liberty Caucus Replaced Spreadsheets with a Real Platform

50+ state charters. 500+ legislators scored. Multi-level dues splitting. All on one platform — built by an organizer who lived the problem for 18 years.

The Problem

The Republican Liberty Caucus is a national grassroots organization with state charters across the country. For years, every chapter operated in isolation — member lists in spreadsheets, dues collected at meetings, legislative scorecards built by hand in Word documents, candidate vetting done over email threads, and event promotion limited to Facebook posts.

National leadership had no visibility into chapter health. State chairs couldn't share resources. New chapters started from zero with no tools, no templates, and no guidance. The result: inconsistent experiences, lost members, and wasted volunteer hours on administrative busywork instead of advocacy.

"We spent years duct-taping spreadsheets and Facebook groups together. I kept thinking, 'Somebody needs to build this.' After 18 years, I realized that somebody was me."

RLC National Leader since 2008 · Founder, LibertyOS

18 Years of Living the Problem

2008

The RLC of Central East Florida is founded

Matt Nye founds the local chapter in Brevard County, Florida. Organizing is done with spreadsheets, email blasts, and Facebook groups.

2009

Tea Party movement launches

Matt organizes the Brevard Tea Parties, learning firsthand what works (and what breaks) when thousands of people want to get involved at once.

2012

Watchdog work exposes $8.5M corruption scandal

Matt files a criminal complaint that leads to the arrest of the Brevard Clerk of Courts and two others in the largest corruption case in county history. The tools for tracking and organizing evidence don't exist — everything is manual.

2014–2020

Four campaigns, zero good tools

Running for County Commission (twice) and Florida State House (twice), Matt experiences the full pain of managing donors, volunteers, door-knocking lists, and campaign finance — across disconnected spreadsheets and apps.

2024

National RLC leadership sees the full picture

After 16 years rising from local chapter founder to national leadership, Matt has watched every state charter struggle with the same problems: member lists in spreadsheets, dues collected by hand, no way to track legislative votes, zero coordination between chapters.

2026

LibertyOS launches

After 18 years of living the problem, Matt builds the platform he wished existed. The RLC becomes Customer #1, and every feature is battle-tested by real organizers doing real work.

"I've run four campaigns, organized hundreds of meetings, and filed the complaint that led to the largest corruption prosecution in Brevard County history. Every one of those experiences taught me what organizers actually need — and what the existing tools get wrong."

Results

Unified National Platform

Every state charter now has its own branded site on the same platform. National leadership has visibility into membership, engagement, and charter health across the entire organization for the first time.

Automated Dues Revenue

Multi-level dues splitting means when a member pays, their national, state, and local chapter all get their share automatically via Stripe. No more manual reconciliation.

Accountability Through Scorecards

Over 500 legislators scored on constitutional liberty votes. Members can instantly see how their representatives actually vote — not just what they promise.

AI-Powered Intelligence

Intelligence reports analyze legislation against the organization's principles and generate action kits with social media posts, press releases, and talking points — ready to deploy in minutes, not days.
